You sweeten the morning sunshine. Your smile takes me to a place where free dreams flow,

Dreams

My dreams soar like a kite dancing on a spring breeze.
Yet these days they shine in a drunken haze.
How may I believe in this fairytale dream?
-when a dream always ends as the moonlight fades.

My sleep turns to wake and wake back to dream.
-for she holds the flame that my heart truly craves.
Still I ponder if these glimpses of forever I've seen
shall weld our souls with our love's fiery blaze.

But then she smiles- like sunshine kisses on my cheeks.
Her ocean blue eyes sparkle like celestial stars.
She speaks as a robin sings from a nearby tree,
with angelic beauty unseen by most thus far.

So this cloud covered painting that God has displayed
allows a golden ray of sunlight to permeate.
And more clearly I see now these dreams that I've made
are not dreams...but visions of a fate that we will create
